Jan Hommen arbeitet seit 2021 bei TOMRA, wo er sich auf den Bereich Circular Plastic Applications konzentriert. In seiner Rolle ist er für die Entwicklung des Marktes für Recyclingmöglichkeiten verantwortlich, die zur Schließung des Kreislaufs für Kunststoffe und damit zu einer Kreislaufwirtschaft führen. Vor seiner jetzigen Tätigkeit war Jan maßgeblich an der Analyse und Optimierung des Advanced Mechanical Recycling Prozesses in der Pionieranlage von TOMRA in Deutschland beteiligt.
Jan hat einen Bachelor- und Master-Abschluss in Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen an der Fachhochschule Koblenz erworben.

Jan Hommen joined TOMRA in 2021 with a focus on Circular Plastic Applications. In his role, he is responsible for exploring and developing the market for recycling opportunities that lead to closing the loop for plastics in the transition towards a Circular Economy. Prior to his current role, Jan was instrumental in analyzing and optimizing the advanced mechanical recycling process at TOMRA’s pioneering facility in Germany.
Jan earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering at the University of Applied Science in Koblenz.
