Frieder Backu

Frieder Backu ist Partner bei WEB Witzel Erb Backu, einer anerkannten Kanzlei im Bereich des Informationstechnologierechts. Er ist Fachanwalt für Steuerrecht und Informationstechnologierecht. Seit 2002 berät und vertritt Backu zusammen mit seinem Team internationale Glücksspielunternehmen bei ihren Aktivitäten in Deutschland. Er ist Mitautor der monatlich erscheinenden Zeitschrift Der IT-Rechtsberater (http://www.itrb.de) und Autor zahlreicher Veröffentlichungen im Bereich IT und Steuern. Backu hält regelmäßig Vorträge im IT-Bereich. Er ist Mitglied des Deutschen Anwaltvereins, des Münchener Anwaltvereins und der Arbeitsgemeinschaft Informationstechnologie im Deutschen Anwaltverein (DAV IT). Backu ist seit 2008 General Member der IMGL (International Masters of Gaming Law).

Frieder Backu is Partner with WEB Witzel Erb Backu, a well recognised law firm in the field of information technology law. He studied law at the universities of Munich and London. Following Backu’s studies at university he passed an education as certified expert for tax law and for information technology law. His focus is online and information technology law. Since 2002 Backu consults and represents international gaming companies with respect to their business activities in Germany. He is co-author and editor of the monthly journal Der IT-Rechtsberater (IT Law Specialist, http://www.itrb.de) and author of numerous publications in the field of IT and taxes. Backu lectures regularly in the field of IT. He is Member of the German Bar Association, Munich Bar Association and the Information Technology Working Group of the German Bar Association (DAV IT). Backu is member of IMGL (International Masters of Gaming Law) since 2008.
