Originally trained as a computer scientist, I have worked in banking for about 25 years. In recent years, I have focused on the development of new means of payment and forms of money.

Among other things:
Designing and implementing a solution to trigger conventional payments through DLTs. The first payment in the production environment was in March 2021.
Participation in the Deutsche Bundesbank and Federal Ministry of Finance working group on programmable money.
Co-author of the German banking industry’s policy paper “Europe needs new money” and the subsequent expansion of this concept into the working paper “Commercial Bank Money Token” (CBMT).
Work on this paper started before the terms “tokenised deposits” or “deposit token” were coined, which is what CBMT is.
